Dear Hosnieh,

Your draft makes a few good points, but misses more serious concerns =
also overlooked in other wg drafts. Could you update your link for =
draft-otis-dnssd-mdns-xlink to:
http://tools.ietf.org/html/draft-otis-dnssd-mdns-xlink-03

An example given is for printers, but this includes video cameras, =
baby-monitors, home automation devices, etc. Use of mDNS proxy into DNS =
as the method for merging different networking realms creates very =
serious issues.

Here are a few examples:
1) an inability to restore typical firewall protections when routable =
replaces link-local.
2) an inability to resolve multiple interface naming conflicts.
3) an inability to administratively defend services from look-alike or =
interposed MiTM exploits.

Regards,
Douglas Otis

Hi Douglas,

My threat model was based on the old version of your draft. I will take a
look on your new version and also update the link to point to the new one.

Thanks,

Best,

Hosnieh

Unfortunately, I have had several attacks on my webserver after I introduced
the public link yesterday, I changed a few things. So the new public link
after those changes is as followings. The other link will not work anymore.

http://editor.rozanak.com/show.aspx?u=AZ0F858AA94DAF1DBEED1DD70D5D065F2113B5

I haven't had a chance to take a look on new version of Douglas's draft to
revise the parts of this thread model (which related to his draft)
accordingly. I will do this revisions later.

Thanks,

Best,

Hosnieh

Follow up,

=20

Please make sure that the query string hasn't been spitted. As you might =
know, using a text format in email editor splits the url after 68 =
characters (or something like this).=20

The URL needs a complete query string, otherwise it considers it as an =
invalid url and you will receive only a blank page or =E2=80=9Cinvalid =
request=E2=80=9D
