Hi, all:

If people doing IoT or homenet projects for the IETF
hackathon can let us know what platforms/distributions
you'll be using, we can try to make sure that we'll have
libgetdns and getdns Python bindings available for those
who are interested in having an easy-to-use DNSSEC
validator, DANE access, DNS privacy mitigations, DNS roadblock
avoidance, and so on included in their projects.

Thanks,

Melinda

Happy to explain you how the stuff works and what would need to be done to =
add various DNS libraries.

Ciao
Hannes

Subject: [hackathon] IoT/homenet platforms?

Hi, all:

If people doing IoT or homenet projects for the IETF hackathon can let us k=
now what platforms/distributions you'll be using, we can try to make sure t=
hat we'll have libgetdns and getdns Python bindings available for those who=
are interested in having an easy-to-use DNSSEC validator, DANE access, DNS=
privacy mitigations, DNS roadblock avoidance, and so on included in their =
projects.

Thanks,

Melinda

You can forward this message to others to allow them to play back the recor=
ding.

2) Charles to request an wired ethernet drop and switch in hackathon room f=
or any teams that require wired access.

Meeting Summary
The hackathon is April 2-3, the weekend before the IETF 95 meeting.
In order to get the most of the hackathon, please plan on attending the kic=
koff.
The agenda and what is required to champion a project is as follows:

Agenda:
Saturday, April 2
09:00: Room opens - Pastries and coffee provided
09:30: Hackathon kickoff - Intro to all technologies by champions, fo=
rm teams
      12:30: Lunch provided
15:30: Afternoon break - Snacks provided
      18:30: Progress check and sharing
      19:00: Dinner provided
22:00: Room closes and is locked
  Sunday, April 3
09:00: Room opens - Pastries and coffee provided
      12:30: Lunch provided
13:30: Hacking stops, prepare brief presentation of project
14:00: Project presentation to other participants and judges
15:00: Recap and suggestions for improvements
      15:30: Awards presented, prizes given
      16:00: Hackathon ends

Champions should:

  *   Before the Hackathon:
     * Share ideas and any preparation materials or requirements with pot=
ential attendees via the hackathon list
     * Recruit participants from associated working groups, open source p=
rojects, etc.
  *   At the Hackathon:
     * Prepare a brief overview presentation to introduce the technology =
and suggest potential projects
     * Make themselves available to answer questions and help others
     * Hack on things themselves in their copious free time

As in previous hackathons, the presentation does not need to be anything fo=
rmal and should take no more than 5 minutes. It often helps to have a few s=
lides that you can talk to as you explain the project and the technologies =
involved. Please send me your presentation prior to the start of the hacka=
thon and I will post it using the IETF Meeting Materials Management Tool.

The Wiki<https://www.ietf.org/registration/MeetingWiki/wiki/95hackathon> ha=
s the up to date list of technologies and projects. New projects can still =
be added - just add your project to the wiki and send a note to the hackath=
on list.

Let me know if you have any questions, and contact me if you need access to=
the hackathon room for any setup on Friday.
Otherwise, safe travels and see you Saturday morning in Buenos Aires!

Cheers,
Charles
