Subject: [[191173129]] Subscription to ipsec-policy for ipsp-archive@lists.ietf.org

Greetings. This message is a periodic reminder that
     ipsp-archive@lists.ietf.org
is subscribed to the
     ipsec-policy
mailing list.

*** SEE BELOW: PLEASE DO NOT RESPOND TO THIS MESSAGE. ***

There are two purposes for this message:
- If this message is bounced by your mail server, I can remove you from
the mailing list and reduce waste of bandwidth and resources. (If you
are reading this message, it clearly didn't get bounced!)
- Some people stay subscribed to mailing lists even though they do not
want to because they do not know how to unsubscribe.

If you want to stay subscribed to the ipsec-policy mailing list,
you do not need to do anything. Feel free to delete this message.

On the other hand, if you want to unsubscribe from this list, simply go
to the following link:
     <http://www.vpnc.org/Unsubs/191173129>

If for some reason you cannot go to that web site, you can also
unsubscribe by email; however, doing so is not as likely to get you
unsubscribed as the web site is. To unsubscribe using email, you can
respond to this message and I will unsubscribe you by hand in the next
few days. Again, this is not assured to work because your mail system
may make it impossible for me to determine who you are or what you want
to unsubscribe to.

Alternatively, you can send a plain-text message to:
     ipsec-policy-request@vpnc.org
with the single word
     unsubscribe
in the body of the message. This last method assumes that the "From:"
address in your mail is "ipsp-archive@lists.ietf.org". Again, using the
web site above is more likely to work than this method (due to limitations
in Majordomo, the mailing list software we currently use).

If you have any questions, feel free to contact me.

A New Internet-Draft is available from the on-line Internet-Drafts directories.
This draft is a work item of the IP Security Policy Working Group of the IETF.

Title : IPsec Security Policy IPsec Action MIB
	Author(s)	: W. Hardaker
	Filename	: draft-ietf-ipsp-ipsecaction-mib-00.txt
	Pages : 45
	Date : 2004-1-23

This document defines a SMIv2 Management Information Base (MIB)
module for configuring IPsec actions for the security policy database
(SPD) of a device that uses the IPsec Security Policy Database
Configuration MIB for configuring the IPSec protocol actions on that
device. The IPSP IPsec Action MIB integrates directly with the IPsec
Security Policy Database Configuration MIB and it is meant to work
within the framework of an action referenced by that MIB.

To remove yourself from the IETF Announcement list, send a message to

NOTE:	The mail server at ietf.org can return the document in

This document defines a SMIv2 Management Information Base (MIB)
module for configuring the security policy database of a device
implementing the IPSec protocol. The policy-based packet filtering
and the corresponding execution of actions is of a more general
nature than for IPsec configuration only, such as for configuration
of a firewall. This MIB module is designed with future extensibility
in mind. It is thus possible to externally add other packet filters
and actions to the policy-based packet filtering system defined in
this document.

These are the final updates for the IPSP MIBs. As discussed multiple
times at both meetings and on the mailing lists, the original MIB is
now split into 3 parts. The authors do not have any outstanding work
to do on them and feel they are complete, and thus we'd like to ask
the AD review them (assuming the chairs approve this first of course)
[yes, they pass the standard compile tests, etc].

Note that as agreed to by John Shriver, the chairs and the authors of
these drafts, the dependency on the TC MIB produced by the IPsec
working group has been removed as the definitions that were being
defined in draft-ietf-ipsec-doi-tc-mib-07.txt have been rolled into
these documents as necessary instead [the draft in question was not
going to be produced within the IPsec working group any longer].
