CoNEXT 2019 Call for Papers=20

The CoNEXT paper registration is now open at =
https://conext19.hotcrp.com/ <https://conext19.hotcrp.com/>. For more =
details on submission instructions see =
https://conferences2.sigcomm.org/co-next/2019/#!/submission =
<https://conferences2.sigcomm.org/co-next/2019/#!/submission>

The CoNEXT 2019 conference seeks papers presenting significant and novel =
research results on emerging computer networks and its applications. We =
especially encourage submissions that present novel experimentation, =
creative use of networking technologies, and new insights made possible =
using analysis. We invite submissions on a wide range of Networking =
topics. The list of topics includes (in alphabetical order):=20

Big Data platforms with applications to network management, security, =
measurements=20
Content distribution and caching, e.g., CDN, peer-to-peer, overlays=20
Design, analysis, and evaluation of network architectures=20
Experience and lessons learned by deploying large-scale networked =
systems=20
Internet measurement and modeling=20
Internet economics and policy=20
Innovative uses of network data beyond communication=20
Networking aspects of datacenters and cloud computing=20
Networking aspects of operating systems and virtualization architectures=20=

Network aspects of Web, Video, and Virtual Reality applications=20
Network control and management, including SDN, NFV and network =
programmability=20
Network, transport, and application-layer protocols=20
Networking aspects of ubiquitous computing, including Internet-of-Things =
and Smart Cities=20
Networking aspects of online social networks=20
Reliability and availability of networks, protocols, and applications=20
Routing and traffic engineering=20
Security and privacy aspects of network applications and protocols=20
Topics at the intersection of energy-efficient computing and networking=20=

Wireless networking in licensed and unlicensed spectrum=20
We are open to other contributions that stretch networking research =
outside of these topics, present new emerging computing trends, or =
potentially involve unfamiliar techniques. We ask authors to bear in =
mind that the main factor of interest for their work will be the =
implications of their results in networking. Potential authors who are =
unsure of the scope are encouraged to contact the PC chairs before =
submission.=20

Submission=20
CoNEXT welcomes submission of both long and short papers (2-column, 10pt =
ACM format). All the submissions should be double-blind and will be =
peer-reviewed. Per the anonymity guidelines, you must remove any author =
names.=20

Long papers are the more traditional form to present technical work and =
should be no more than 12 pages (up to two additional pages for =
appendices and unlimited pages for references). Short papers are the =
preferred vehicle for contributions whose novelty and impact show the =
same technical excellence, but whose description fits within 6 pages =
(one additional page for appendices and unlimited pages for references). =
Short papers will be reviewed with a more open mind towards the scope of =
evaluation or breadth of topics compared to long papers. Note that =
position papers, critiques of networking research, and ideas that are =
not yet fully complete or evaluated are a better fit for the HotNets =
workshop. We recommend that authors check both call for papers before =
submitting.=20

We welcome experience submissions that clearly articulate lessons =
learned, as well as submissions that refute prior published results. We =
value submissions more highly if they are accompanied by clearly defined =
artifacts not previously available, including traces, original data, =
source code, or tools developed as part of the submitted work.=20

Ethical concerns=20
CoNEXT accords great importance to research ethics. Specifically, =
authors must attest that their work complies with all applicable ethical =
standards of their home institution(s), including, but not limited to =
privacy policies and policies on experiments involving humans. =
Submitting research for approval by one=E2=80=99s institution=E2=80=99s =
ethics review body is necessary, but not sufficient. The PC will have =
its own discussion of the ethics of that work whenever it has concerns =
about the ethics of a submission. Authors agree to be available at any =
time during the review process to rapidly respond to queries from the PC =
chairs regarding ethical standards.=20

Paper Submission=20
Important Dates=20

Abstract Registration: Wednesday, June 19, 2019 (6PM EST)=20

Paper Submission: Wednesday, June 26, 2019 (6PM EST)=20

(hard deadline, no extensions will be given)=20

Notification of Acceptance: September 10, 2019=20

Camera Ready: October 13, 2019=20

Official publication date: December 8, 2019=20

Conference: December 9-12 (Orlando, Florida)=20

AUTHORS TAKE NOTE: The official publication date is the date the =
proceedings are made available in the ACM Digital Library. This date may =
be up to two weeks prior to the first day of your conference. The =
official publication date affects the deadline for any patent filings =
related to published work.=20=

                           Call for Contributions
                  for maprg, IETF 105, Montreal

The IRTF Measurement and Analysis for Protocols Research Group
(maprg) will have its next (2 hour) meeting during IETF 105 (July
20-26), 2019, in Montreal, Canada. We invite you to submit your
candidate measurement research contributions for presentation at
the maprg meeting. The contribution can be new (measurement) work,
work accepted for publication, or a recent publication in the scope
of the research group. Please see the charter for questions on scope:

  https://datatracker.ietf.org/rg/maprg/charter/

Please send a short abstract (200-300 words) to the maprg chairs
(maprg-chairs@ietf.org) describing your proposed contribution. For
planning purposes we encourage to send your contribution as soon
as possible and latest by:

       July 1, 2019

Further, we encourage short presentations (5-10 min) with updates
of measurement data that have been presented previously in maprg.

The chairs will assemble an agenda for the meeting based on
received submissions taking into consideration the group's scope,
common themes, and/or relevance to current IETF work. While remote
presentations are possible and welcome, we will favor in-person
presentations if needed due to meeting time restrictions as this
supports additional interaction with the IETF community outside of
the meeting which is also a goal for this group. Also since meeting
time includes questions, comments, and discussion, contributors
may be invited to present, instead, in subsequent meetings.

Please share this call with other interested people or groups!

Thanks for sending your contributions!

######################################################################

Please don't hesitate to contact us if you have any questions!

- Dave and Mirja (maprg chairs)

Sorry, I gave the wrong link to the Hackathon wiki document.
I should have said:

The current MAPRG-associated projects can be
found by searching for "MAPRG" in this document:
https://trac.ietf.org/trac/ietf/meeting/wiki/105hackathon

Participants must register for the Hackathon (using the link near the
top of that wiki page). Please contact the project(s)' champion(s)
(from wiki) and meet with the participants at the Hackathon itself.

Propose new MAPRG-associated projects to <maprg-chairs@ietf.org>
