The IESG will use RFC 3932 responses: 1) The IESG has not
found any conflict between this document and IETF work; 2) The
IESG thinks that this work is related to IETF work done in WG
<X>, but this does not prevent publishing; 3) The IESG thinks
that publication is harmful to work in WG <X> and recommends
not publishing at this time; 4) The IESG thinks that this
document violates the IETF procedures for <X> and should
therefore not be published without IETF review and IESG
approval; 5) The IESG thinks that this document extends an
IETF protocol in a way that requires IETF review and should
therefore not be published without IETF review and IESG approval.

The document shepherd must propose one of these responses in
the Data Tracker note and supply complete text in the IESG
Note portion of the write-up. The Area Director ballot positions
indicate consensus with the response proposed by the
      document shepherd.

Other matters may be recorded in comments, and the comments will
be passed on to the RFC Editor as community review of the
      document.

However:

=20

I would be available from 2 to 3:15 or so on the Sunday before=20

the IETF if anyone has a topic that they want to discuss (Dave=20

will be busy elsewhere). Please let me know if you want to chat.=20

=20

At 3:30pm the Sunday before the IETF, Dave and I are planning=20

on meeting in the lobby of the IETF hotel, and then go into Dublin=20

to see whether or not there actually are any pubs in Dublin (we=20

have heard rumors that there are). I have the names and addresses=20

of what are allegedly the only two pubs in Dublin that serve=20

microbrews and will probably lobby to visit one or both of these (on=20

the basis that we will have other opportunities to try Guiness and=20

Murphy's). Let us know if you would like to join us, and/or be in the

lobby by 3:30pm *sharp* (some things just won't wait) the Sunday=20

before the IETF.=20

=20

thanks, Ross (and Dave)

By the way, my email below says:

=20

... be in the lobby by 3:30pm *sharp* (some things just won't wait)=20

    the Sunday before the IETF.=20

=20

This refers to the hotel lobby, presumably around about where we check=20

into the hotel (I am not there yet, and am not sure what we will find,
but=20

in general hotels have lobbies so I figure that we should be able to
find it).

I just thought that I should warn folks that I have had a major failure =
of my email in the past couple of hours. I am not completely sure that I =
will be able to get this completely fixed until after Dublin (since I am =
off to the airport in a few minutes), and old email is probably lost.
=20
Thanks, Ross
