Yes, I see I had it running with --ignore-whitespace on the web service. =
 I seem
to remember that the reason for that was that (at the time) too many draf=
ts had
excessive right-hand whitespace, which would then result in insanely wide=

diff columns. I'll strip trailing line whitespace instead.

Please, when reporting bugs on tools at tools.ietf.org, report directly t=

or webmaster@tools.ietf.org, which goes to me.

Best regards,

Hi

The tools makes mention of "non-RFC5735-compliant IPv4 addresses" in
one of the checks.
But 5735 has been updated by 6598. this should be updated.

Umm. 6598 specifies the allocation of a /10 (100.64.0.0/10) for use
in carrier-grade NATs, but that doesn't make this range suitable for
example use in IDs and RFCs, from what I can see? The addresses which
idnits warns about are addresses which don't fall into the ranges
specified by 5735 for documentation and example use, and I don't see
that this has changed?

Best regards,

	Henrik

Yes, the author information extraction code doesn't know what to do with
this:

INTERNET-DRAFT Jayantheesh S B
Intended status: Standards Track Samsung
Expires: April, 2016 Narendra Singh Bisht
                                                                 Samsung
                                                        October 08, 2015

and no xml file was provided.

Is Jayantheesh the given or family name? Are "S" and "B" initials? If
so, why the swapped order without comma, and why no point after each of
the initials?

If I can't figure out how to handle that, I can't write code to do it eit=
her...

:-(

Henrik

You're right. I had been just working on an addition to 6598
(draft-ietf-dnsop-rfc6598-rfc6303) and had it on my brain in the wrong
way. Now that I've gone back in the light of day, I was mistaken.
Thanks for catching it.

This request seems to be getting increasingly common.

FWIW, I recently suggested that setting up a pre-wg mailing list should
have the same surrounding collaboration tools support as a working group.

I think that reduces to /always/ establishing a homepage and a wiki as
companions to the mailing list.

Hi,

the top history entry for this ID says on =
https://datatracker.ietf.org/doc/conflict-review-irtf-cfrg-curves/history/=
:

"2015-10-15	00	Cindy Morgan	Conflict Review State changed to =
Approved No Problem - announcement to be sent from IESG Evaluation"

However, I didn't see any such email, although irsg@irtf.org is in the =
"send notices to" list. And searching my email folders, I can't find one =
now either.

Did an email get lost on my side, or is this an issue with the =
datatracker?

Lars

Oh: "to be sent" !" "sent"

I need to wake up.

Related question: why the delay between the approval and the =
announcement?

Hi, Deborah.

I was just checking back to see if a new version of this draft
(draft-teas-rsvp-te-srlg-collect) that I had done a gen-art review on a
couple of weeks ago had been generated. You sent it for expert review
back on 5 Oct and suddenly on 14 Oct the system, for no apparent reason,
has set the notify list to 'None' in the datatracker. Is there some
good reason why this should happen that I am missing?

Cheers,
Elwyn

Elwyn -

With the 6.6.0 release, the way the tracker build where email was sent
changed significantly.
The new system includes most of what we were putting into the Notify
field (things like the authors, chairs, and sheperds) automatically -
those were cleaned out of the Notify field since they will be copied
anyhow. In this document's case, that left the Notify field empty.

Going forward, the notify field should only contain addresses that would
not otherwise be automatically copied when mail is sent.

To see where mail will be sent for a given action, look at the new
"Email Expansions" tab
(for the draft you mention, that's at
<http://datatracker.ietf.org/doc/draft-ietf-teas-rsvp-te-srlg-collect/email/>
)

btw - you weren't on the Notify list for the draft explicitly.
See
<http://datatracker.ietf.org/doc/draft-ietf-teas-rsvp-te-srlg-collect/history/>

The IMAP server providing access to the list archives is ready for use.

You can find instructions for configuring clients at
<http://trac.tools.ietf.org/group/tools/trac/wiki/Imap>

Please help improve the instructions for various clients at that wiki.
The tools-discuss list (copied) is a good place to help each other with
configuration and talk about the service.

If you discover errors, please let me know.

Plaudits:
This seems to work pretty well via Thunderbird. The setup instructions
worked as expected.

Possible bug:
The only issue that I have encountered is that the 'discuss' list has
only displayed a small fraction of the messages that are on the list.
Loading stopped after 1084 messages - the most recent one loaded is
Message ID <47C71F0B.5030000@dcrocker.net> dated 2008/02/28. Hitting
'Get messages' doens't help. The other lists that I have subscribed to
worked as expected and downloaded up to 21920 messages (ipv6).

Possible bug/infelicity:
In the process of trying to get the discuss mail downloaded, I tried
'compacting' the mailbox. Thunderbird reported that the operation had
failed and the server had replied 'Internal Error'.

Setup suggestion:
In order to make it easier to reply to messages that one accesses via
the IMAP server, it seems to be sensible to set the email address
associated with the imap.ietf.org account to be the email address that
one normally uses to send email to IETF lists (probably the same one as
you use to login to the IETF tools. This certainly seems to work OK in
Thunderbird which doesn't have a problem with two accounts being
associated with the same email address.

Regards,
Elwyn

Thanks for the reports.

I'll follow up with you directly to see what's happening to you on the
discuss list (I just verified I get the whole thing when setting up a
new account).

Hi Elwyn,
Not that I know of - must be with the automated mailing list generated by d=

Hi Elwyn,

The tools changed so that the authors, shepherd, chairs, and ADs are
automatically notified.
Now the notify field is for others who are interested (such as yourself).
I believe that the
pruning was done removing the names that would be automatically sent to -
but the WG
chairs and ADs were also notified of the changes.

Thanks for your work as a GenArt reviewer and your diligence in following
up.

Regards,
Alia

Hi Elwyn,

Not sure why it defaulted to "None", but I was able to edit it so fixed it =
to draft.all which seems better than "None" as I don't think "None" will be=
much help with having a discussion unless Avri has a reindeer with that na=
me:-)

Much thanks for bringing to my attention-
Deborah

Hi Elwyn,
Not that I know of - must be with the automated mailing list generated by d=
ata tracker. I'll check later if I am able to edit.
Thanks-
Deborah
