The IETF Upcoming calendar at:
   https://datatracker.ietf.org/meeting/upcoming.ics

includes all of the Interim meetings. This is really useful for planning
(virtual) interim meetings, and it reduces the double-booking, and the like.

I wouldn't mind if IAB/IESG telechats were in that list too, as it would
remind people not to try to over-schedule their AD at that time, if they
expect them to show up at a virtual interim meeting.

HOWEVER, it also includes the entire schedule for IETF meetings as a
individual entries. So, ironically, I want this calendar enabled, except
during IETF meetings, when it's just noise...

(There is also a calendar that just has the IETF meetings as a block.
It's at: https://ietf.org/calendars/meetings/IETFmeetings.ics
I've don't have it my calendar, since upcoming.ics repeats it all.)

I wouldn't have a problem if it had one block in the upcoming.ics
for IETF in-person meetings, but since we have IETFmeeting.ics, I'd
prefer if we could filter the detail out of upcoming.ics.

So my draft will expire during the two week window in which
I can't repost it. Of course, I can post a new version now
(which I've done, actually)

But, I wonder if drafts just shouldn't expire during the blackout window?

Or, you can:
A: let it expire and just post a new one after the window reopens (there is
no real downside to it being expired for a bit, it doesn=E2=80=99t become u=
nadopted
or anything like that) or
B: send it to the secretariat and CC the relevant AD asking for override.

I don't think the execution is relevant when it was obviously a bad idea in
the first place.
This is like putting rabid weasels in your pants, and later expressing
regret at having chosen those particular rabid weasels and that pair of
pants.

What I think should happen is that the datatracker, once it knows that the
blackout is in effect, should simply internally bump the expiry date
to the end of the meeting week. The generated draft can continue to
have the today+6-month day in it, as it causes no harm.

I just noticed that the mailarchive.ietf.org doesn=E2=80=99t allow me to =
search for =F0=9F=94=94
It seems to act as if I hadn=E2=80=99t put in anything into the search =
box.

Now, =F0=9F=94=94 is an =E2=80=9Castral=E2=80=9D character (came to =
unicode after 1990 or so), but that should not be a reason I can=E2=80=99t=
 search for it.

(It also seems the search function doesn=E2=80=99t really return most of =
what should be hits, but I=E2=80=99m still investigating that.)

idnits seems to be issuing a warning about RFC 2119 for this document =
even though it has the RFC 8174 boilerplate: =
https://tools.ietf.org/idnits?url=3Dhttps://tools.ietf.org/id/draft-ietf-r=
egext-org-11.txt. Might be due to a line break in the boilerplate.

No, the text used in draft-ietf-regext-org-11.txt does not match that giv=
en
in RFC 8174. The 8174 boilerplate mentions "NOT RECOMMENDED", this draft=

does not. A minor point is also that the spacing doesn't match. I don't=

recall how lenient I've made idnits with regards to boilerplate spacing,
though.
