Hi,

The University of Coimbra, Protugal has developed an AgentX
implementation in Java called J.AgentX. This implementation is
compatible with the rfc 2741 and consists of an Extensible SNMP Agent
and a SubAgent API. Anyone can download the binaries and source code at
the project homepage - http://www.dei.uc.pt/agentx/. Project
Documentation and examples are also available.

For any comments/questions please contact us at agentx@dei.uc.pt

Best Regards,
The J.AgentX Team

Hi,
Is one of the advantages of Agentx, with its binary TCP based
protocol, is that it allows you to have a node(s) (separate embedded
products)
that only contains subagent(s) (which know nothing about snmp and or mibs)
and have another independent node as the master agent which is snmp/mib
omniscient?
