Hi,

This is an automatic notification about a new datatracker release,
v5.6.0, generated when running the mkrelease script.

Release notes:

ietfdb (5.6.0) ietf; urgency=medium

  This release adds group page support also for non-WG/RG groups, extending
  and generalising the work done recently to add RG pages. In particular,
  this provides the Edu team with a place to upload and display educational
  materials.

  Changelog:

  * Merged in branch/iola/team-support from olau@iola.dk. This generalises
    and extends the group support for WGs and RGs so that also other groups,
    such as for instance the Edu Team, can have pages.

  * Miscellaneous other minor changes mostly related to merging, testing and admin.

 -- Henrik Levkowetz <henrik@levkowetz.com>  02 Jul 2014 12:36:25 -0700

The new version is available for installation through SVN checkout, with
  'svn checkout http://svn.tools.ietf.org/svn/tools/ietfdb/tags/5.6.0'

For development, check out the new development version instead:
  'svn checkout http://svn.tools.ietf.org/svn/tools/ietfdb/tags/dev/5.6.1-dev0'

Regards,

	Henrik

Hi,

If you want to start coding using the 5.6.1-dev0 branches I just set up
for sprint participants, you need to run migrations to make sure that all
the database tables match the new models -- there is one model change
since 5.5.2 which needs to be synchronised with the database schema.
You do this by running this command at the top of your working copy tree:

 $ ietf/manage.py migrate

Best regards,

	Henrik

According to this page:
	https://trac.tools.ietf.org/tools/ietfdb/wiki/SprintDatabase

This is the status of the ietf developer's DB:

	*This option is not currently available, due to a disk failure *

Is this still true? I was going to update this page to better reflect
using local databases.

thanks

grenache is still down (and that's the machine the configuration block
in that section is pointing
to for a remote database), so pending other edits, yes, that's still
true. If we don't have a tools
server at the sprint serving the database remotely, I'll expose a copy
from my laptop (which will
be faster for people anyhow).

I tweaked the warning on the page to hopefully make it clearer.

Robert,

Yes, I went through the process earlier today. I wanted to make it
clearer to do so, and perhaps clean up the steps (though you have done
well).

We will once again have a Code Sprint in Toronto prior to IETF-90. Please support the tools team with your time and expertise! Or come and build the feature that you always wanted to have :-)

When: Saturday, July 19, 2014, beginning at 9:30 AM and running until 6 PM

Where: The IETF meeting hotel (Fairmont Royal York), meeting room British Columbia (MM)

What: A bunch of hackers get together to work on code for the IETF data tracker, web site and other tools. Some people may be working on improvements in existing functionality, others may be adding exciting new functionality. All code will become part of the open source IETF tools.

Who: Hopefully you can help

Henrik and Robert will be coordinating the efforts. Please support the tools development effort, join the volunteer team and contribute!

The wiki for the sprint, along with a sign-up sheet, is at https://trac.tools.ietf.org/tools/ietfdb/wiki/IETF90Sprint

All:

I wanted to send a message to the code sprint, because I will only get =
there later. I am sitting at the airport in London and waiting for my =
flight to Toronto, having been here for the initial meeting of NTIA IANA =
transition coordination group. That is very important, but so is the =
code sprint. I just wanted to say that your work is very much =
appreciated. Thank you! Looking forward to seeing you all sometime in =
the afternoon, I should get there by 4pm or so.

Jari

Hi,

This is an automatic notification about a new datatracker release,
v5.6.2, generated when running the mkrelease script.

Release notes:

ietfdb (5.6.2) ietf; urgency=medium

  This release contains the datatracker bugfixes and enhancements from the
  IETF-90 Code Sprint. Many thanks to everyone that contributed!

  Contributions that continue to arrive during the week will be merged in
  to a new release at the end of the week or the beginning of next week.

  * Merged in [8155] from rcross@amsl.com:
    Allow Team Chairs access to proceedings.

  * Merged in [8154] from rcross@amsl.com:
    Fixed a bug where ScheduledSession objects were still being created
    without a related session.

  * Merged in [8150] from rjsparks@nostrum.com:
    Small cleanup refactor removing redundant configuration line in settings
    for charter text URLs.

  * Changed the length of the NameModel slug field from 8 to 32 characters.
    Added a corresponding migration.

  * Merged in [8146] from sunqi.csnet.thu@gmail.com:
    Changed the ietfauth file to allow to change the replaces relationship
    without setting the doc stream. Fixes ticket #1305.

  * Merged in [8143] from tterriberry@mozilla.com:
    Allow IRTF chair to adopt a draft into any RG. Fixes #1082.

  * Merged in [8137] from rjsparks@nostrum.com:
    First automated javascript test using PhantomJS and Selenium.

  * Merged in personal/shane/v5.6.2-dev0@8144 from shane@time-travellers.org:
    Added untrack to document and search pages. Fixes #1381.

  * Merged in [8136] from denghui@chinamobile.com:
    Added display of the relevant draft revision number for ballot comments.
    Fixes issue #911.

  * Permit really long sessions, and don't expire sessions on browser
    close. On request from Pete Resnick.

  * Merged in [8122] from gnocuil@gmail.com:
    Force mailing to secretary when a charter state changed to internal or
    external review.  Fixes ticket #1444.

  * Merged in [8121] from fanpeng@chinamobile.com:
    Added a 'No Errata' indication for RFCs with no errata. Changed the link
    to the draft text for expired drafts to use the archive at
    www.ietf.org/archive/id/ instead of tools.ietf.org/id/. Fixes ticket #1112
    and #1432.

  * Added a meta tag to the base template, to specify a page character set.

  * Merged in [8114] from gnocuil@gmail.com:
    Changed the template to highlight groups from different areas instead of
    the same area. Fixes ticket #1368.
