All,=20

as you might be aware, we had a final open issue in the framework document.=
The issue is described in detail here:

http://www.ietf.org/mail-archive/web/drinks/current/msg01246.html

We have discussed the proposed text change during recent design team calls,=
and had private conversations around concerns with the proposed function. =
However, these concerns are now addressed, and both Andrew Sullivan (who id=
entified this issue during WGLC in the first place) and Vikas Bhatia (who h=
ad significant concerns about using NFKC operations) are now fine with usin=
g the "toCasefold()" function.=20

Therefore, i'm happy to declare that this last issue with the document is s=
olved, and will edit the framework document accordingly. I'm sure we can ma=
ke the monday ID submission deadline - the design team might want to do a q=
uick review of the changes.

Subsequently, Sumant and myself will collaborate on creating the PROTOs for=
 the documents, and request publication.

thanks,

Alex

All,

I've submitted (with David's help, thanks!) an update to the framework draf=
t - ID submission deadline is today. This version addresses the last final =
issue (Identifier case insensitivity text).

Subsequently, Sumanth and myself will collaborate on creating the PROTO doc=
uments, and request publication for the two remaining documents.

Alex
