This is a reminder, sent out once a month, about your catarina.usc.edu
mailing list memberships. It includes your subscription info and how
to use it to change it or unsubscribe from a list.

You can visit the URLs to change your membership status or
configuration, including unsubscribing, setting digest-style delivery
or disabling delivery altogether (e.g., for a vacation), and so on.

In addition to the URL interfaces, you can also use email to make such
changes. For more info, send a message to the '-request' address of
the list (for example, malloc-request@catarina.usc.edu) containing
just the word 'help' in the message body, and an email message will be
sent to you with instructions.

If you have questions, problems, comments, etc, send them to
mailman-owner@catarina.usc.edu. Thanks!

A New Internet-Draft is available from the on-line Internet-Drafts directories.
This draft is a work item of the Multicast-Address Allocation Working Group of the IETF.

Title : Multicast Address Allocation MIB
	Author(s)	: D. Thaler
	Filename	: draft-ietf-malloc-malloc-mib-07.txt
	Pages : 42
	Date : 03-Jul-02

This memo defines a portion of the Management Information Base (MIB) for
use with network management protocols in the Internet community. In
particular, it describes managed objects used for managing multicast
address allocation.

A URL for this Internet-Draft is:
http://www.ietf.org/internet-drafts/draft-ietf-malloc-malloc-mib-07.txt

To remove yourself from the IETF Announcement list, send a message to
ietf-announce-request with the word unsubscribe in the body of the message.

Internet-Drafts are also available by anonymous FTP. Login with the username
"anonymous" and a password of your e-mail address. After logging in,
type "cd internet-drafts" and then
	"get draft-ietf-malloc-malloc-mib-07.txt".

A list of Internet-Drafts directories can be found in
http://www.ietf.org/shadow.html
or ftp://ftp.ietf.org/ietf/1shadow-sites.txt

Internet-Drafts can also be obtained by e-mail.

Send a message to:
	mailserv@ietf.org.
In the body type:
	"FILE /internet-drafts/draft-ietf-malloc-malloc-mib-07.txt".

NOTE:	The mail server at ietf.org can return the document in
MIME-encoded form by using the "mpack" utility. To use this
feature, insert the command "ENCODING mime" before the "FILE"
command. To decode the response(s), you will need "munpack" or
a MIME-compliant mail reader. Different MIME-compliant mail readers
exhibit different behavior, especially when dealing with
"multipart" MIME messages (i.e. documents which have been split
up into multiple messages), so check your local documentation on
	how to manipulate these messages.

Below is the data which will enable a MIME compliant mail reader
implementation to automatically retrieve the ASCII version of the
Internet-Draft.

I see that -07 (which has been posted but not yet announced) changes 95
to 94. The MIB compiler is now happy, so this issue is closed.

I did, however, also see (in both the MALLOC-MIB and the IANA-MALLOC-MIB
modules) that the LAST-UPDATED and REVISION clauses of the MODULE-IDENTITY
invocations don't match as they should. If this is not being too pedantic,
may I suggest asking the RFC Editor to fix this prior to publication (e.g.,
by putting in the date & time when IANA-assigned numbers are entered).

Regards,

Mike
