The working group meeting notes outline the pros and cons of using a
separate protocol for doing interactive message tracking. We gained
concensus in the room that the key issue for making this decision was
"unintentional service denial". That is, the natural behaviour of
tracking agents to park on a tracking server and continuously ask the
question, "has my message been delivered yet".

Clearly, this is something that we would like to control (manage). The
concensus is that that is best done through a separate service from SMTP.

Barring significant disagreement on the list, this will be approach taken
by the working group document authors. Now is the time to speak up.

Cheers.

I notice that you recently posted a new internet draft. A document that
might be worth reading is http://www.ietf.org/ID-nits.html

This document was put together by members of the IESG to help the
community know what are the most common problems that we see in
documents, whether from working groups or individual submissions, and
pro-actively avoid them.

This is an automatic email; please don't conclude that I have
discovered something awful about your draft, as I haven't even read it
yet. Rather, I'm just letting you know that there is a list of common
issues that get raised over and over again in IESG reviews, and I'd
like to save you the hassle by letting you see for yourself whether any
of them apply.

Let me know if you have any questions I can answer.

SendFlowersAmerica is proud to introduce FlowerFunds--

This unique new concept will provide an income flow for your
organization for years to come. Your organization is invited to
explore the possibilities of participating in FlowerFunds.

$FlowerFunds is an individualized fund raising program for
non-profit organizations and schools.

$FlowerFunds are cash rebates that are paid to your
organization each and every time an order is placed by your
members and supporters.

$The best part is that it costs your organization nothing to
participate!!

How it works:

     1. When your members and supporters order flowers or gifts
through sendflowersamerica they determine the price they want to
pay; be it $30, $40, $50 or $1000. Since your members and
supporters determine the price, they all can participate in this
program.

     2. Your organization receives 20% of the purchase price of
the order. Say a husband buys his wife a $50 bouquet. Your
organization will receive a $10 cash rebate. Nice.

This program never ends. Each and every time there is an order
placed by your memebers and supporters, your organization will
receive the 20% cash rebate. That's a lot of FlowerFunds, and
your organization stands to benefit from a findraiser unlike any
other fundraiser.
