Hi Juergen,

Did you make any decision about this?

I could still do a meeting on the Friday/Saturday after
the Vienna IETF if that works for others... But, I'd
like to know ASAP so that I can book my plane tickets.

Thanks,
Margaret

Hi!

Please post the following three documents as Internet Drafts. They
are produced by the Network Management Research Group (NMRG) of the
IRTF. Their sequence number suffix is "03", because there have been
previous incarnations of these documents some time ago.

http://www.ibr.cs.tu-bs.de/projects/sming/draft-irtf-nmrg-sming-03.txt
http://www.ibr.cs.tu-bs.de/projects/sming/draft-irtf-nmrg-sming-snmp-03.txt

Thank you.

Although the XML, SOAP, WSDL activities are very interesting and fit
well in what we've done before, we must take care that we have a clear
focus for the meeting, which should NOT be a netconf WG meeting!

No

Unlikely (because of holiday), but not impossible

Sure, no problem

I'd certainly prefer this, as it means I'd actually be able to attend
anther one (sorry my appearances are so rare).

I cannot attend LANOMS.

Next to the IETF meeting, I am currently free from July 12 to 19 included.
I have to go on July 19 at 6:00 pm at the latest.

Next to DSOM, I am free from October 18 to 25. I would rather stay near
Heidelberg than go to Bremen, if possible.

Regarding topics, I would like to discuss:

  - XML-based configuration management
  - layered information modeling

I can't make it to Brazil, though I would love to go. I'll be at MMNS in
Ireland.

Gee Frank, maybe we should talk about the upcoming I-D that I intend to
write. ;-) Though I doubt I will submit it to netconf...

Hi!

Juergen> We have an offer from Luciano Paschoal Gaspary
Juergen> <anacris@cpovo.net> to hold a meeting next to LANOMS 2003
Juergen> (early September) in Iguassu Falls. I would like to collect
Juergen> feedback from you, especially:

Juergen> - what specific topics do you suggest to work on

My two personally preferred topics are (a) getting deeper into netconf
related stuff, especially how to get netconf operations specified and
realized with existing RPC technologies (especially WSDL & SOAP) and (b)
developing a piece of software to monitor SNMP traffic characteristics.

Juergen> - whether you will be able to travel to such a meeting in
Juergen> Brazil

I thank Luciano a lot for this offer and I would really love to travel to
Brazil. However, I have severe doubts that I will be able to get there. Any
of the proposed meeting places in DE or AT would seem much more realistic to
me personally.

If next to DSOM I can easily offer rooms here in Heidelberg. Also every

Hi Juergen,

I would attend a meeting next to the IETF in Vienna, if it
is planned soon. I would prefer to meet after the IETF
meeting, rather than before, because I am always very
busy before the IETF meetings.

I probably won't be able to attend other meetings in Europe
unless they happen to align with Wind River activities,
because of travel budget.

Margaret

Hi,

I didn't plan to attend LANOMS, and so far have no plans for DSOM, and I
don't know if I can get sponsorship to do either of these.

Next to IETF is always better for me. Let me know if this is a real
possibility; I've already booked my flights and hotel and didn't plan on
an NMRG meeting.

Another possibility is to have a meeting next to APNOMS 2003
(www.apnoms.org/2003) which will be held in Fukuoka, Japan, Oct. 1-3, 2003.

Cheers!

We have an offer from Luciano Paschoal Gaspary <anacris@cpovo.net> to
hold a meeting next to LANOMS 2003 (early September) in Iguassu Falls.
I would like to collect feedback from you, especially:

- what specific topics do you suggest to work on

- whether you will be able to travel to such a meeting in Brazil

Please drop me a note so that I can collect feedback to see whether
such a meeting is realistic. Other proposed meetings in Europe are:

- next to the IETF meeting in Vienna in July

- next to the DSOM workshop in October (perhaps here in Bremen)

Please let me know what you think.

/js
