Just to complete the story: today the draft submission succeeded,
so whatever state was blocking it yesterday has been deleted overnight.
The existence of the bug is pretty much confirmed.

Any ideas, or shall I just submit this as a ticket?

Hi Brian,

I did submit a ticket yesterday on the failure of ID submission. Which
they apparently have fixed. I did notice that there was a mismatch of
ID-nits version where the submission process used 2.12.14 and tools site
still uses 2.12.13.

Cheers

Magnus

I'm getting something like this as well but with a updated ID=20

it says that the ID has not been verified to pass ID Nits but when I =
look
at the ID Nits output I just see "idnits 2.12.14"

Yes, that's the symptom, so my speculation that it's related to
a 00 version was false.

Hi,

This phenomenon (bug, issue, annoying behaviour) started some time in
December. Occasionally, the text returned to the submission tool after
a call-out to idnits only contains the first few lines of text, which
means that the submission tool can't find idnits' "No nits found"
declaration.

Once this starts occurring, it can be fixed by doing a reload or restart
of Apache. Lacking a reload, it will occur much more often after the
first occurrence.

We haven't managed to figure out what triggers this, and once it occurs,
the desire is to do a reload on Apache to get the service operating
properly again, of course, so debugging is hard...

My current thoughts are that Apache could be timing the shell process out
too early in some load situations, and I'm looking at ways to verify and
possibly mitigate this, but I have neither a definite idea of what the
problem is, or a clear solution, at the moment. When this occurs, the
secretariat now knows to do a reload on Apache, but this is not a solution,
just a temporary workaround.

Best regards,

	Henrik

On an IESG Evaluation, I can hit the + to bring up the comments, and
I can click on the red/green/grey box to bring it up, and then on the
left I can pick the balloon to scroll to an individual comment.

I find it annoying that I get this pop-up, that I can't middle click
to get it in a new tab. When I pick comments from on AD, the URL
at the top of my screen changes to
   http://datatracker.ietf.org/wg/GROUP/#IESGMEMBER

which isn't really useful.

When I copy-link-address, I get, (for this specific case):
  http://datatracker.ietf.org/streams/draft-ietf-roll-p2p-rpl/history

and I want Brian Haberman's comments, so I tried:
  http://datatracker.ietf.org/streams/draft-ietf-roll-p2p-rpl/history/#bria=
n-haberman

but it didn't scroll to the right place.... Would this kind of thing
be desireable?=20=20

Hi Michael,

One rather fundamental question, and some comments, inline:

Umm. I can think of several places to find these, but I don't seem to
find one that matches your description. An example URL, please?

Ok. I don't have enough javascript foo to know if it's possible to
differentiate left, right, and middle-click for this case, though.

Agreed.

I think yes, provided we first arrange for a modified version of this view
to be available in a separate tab.

I guess you are talking about the ballot icons that appear in the
draft tables, e.g. on a WG

http://datatracker.ietf.org/wg/geopriv/

The way this is constructed has annoyed me for some time, so I'm
planning to fix this problem when I get to it in the cleanup project.

(The unobtrusive way to design this is to make the icon a proper link,
then add the popup behaviour through Javascript for left-click. The
right-click handler is an abomination, but I guess some people may be
used to it so I plan on porting it over.)

The + popup is somewhat odd, it actually just shows some history for
the document, coincidentally in your case those are the ballot
comments. I'm currently of the opinion that the + popup doesn't make
sense with the new database schema, so if someone is using it, please
speak up. :)

Ah. Thank you. Then I know exactly what you're thinking of.

Suggestions for alternative implementations of the popup pane which would=

also let you get to a separate page would be welcome :-)

Best regards,

Yup, that seems reasonable. I'll see if I can make it so :-)

Is there some reason that the agenda.html template has all of the
colou^Hrs as inline style sheet rather than having this in the ietf.css?

Is there some interest in making the colours part of the database?

Assuming you're talking about the datatracker agenda (rather than the
tools tracker), it's mostly because I only do what I can get
accomplished in a one-day coding session three times a year, and
sometimes that involves shortcuts to just get things done quickly.

You seem to have some -- come to the sprint and do it!

It's a fair enough reason, and I suspected as much.

I actually am working on the automatic agenda editing stuff. I want to
match the colours.

I've moved them into code for now, generating the inline CSS for
agenda.html as before. It could be added to group_group as a new field
if we wanted even more flexability, but I didn't do that, because I'm
not convinced we need it. (Maybe the IESG will reorg itself this though...)

I will be at the sprint.

Hi Henrik,

A question for you (or whoever knows) before I hit some
tracker buttons.

We're merging the kerberos and kitten working groups and
doing that by closing kerberos and re-chartering kitten.
The kitten re-charter is now done so its time to close
kerberos.

Q: are there any likely muck-ups that'll happen related to
tooling when we do that and is there anything we should do
to avoid/mitigate those?

I guess I'm mostly thinking about draft-ietf-krb-wg-*
drafts and what might happen with those if we do/don't
rename 'em to draft-ietf-kitten-* (I suspect authors
will prefer to keep the current draft names).

I don't think we need rush, so probably best is to chat
in a hallway in Orlando after we'd had a chance to
ponder it a bit. If need be, we can try arrange a time
to meet with the kitten chairs if there's a lot to
talk about (I suspect there isn't).

Thanks in advance,
S.

I do have one specific question. Stephen,
draft-ietf-krb-wg-pkinit-alg-agility is expected to come to you the week
of IETF. Josh has asked for a minor revision, and Margaret will be
doing that as soon as the draft window re-opens (unless you want to
approve an exception to get it out of the way sooner).

How do we handle this draft in terms of the wg closure?

If you get me the updated draft and the pub-req then I'm
fine with getting it published since that'll save a bit
of face-to-face time.

> How do we handle this draft in terms of the wg closure?

It'll become a kitten draft I guess. Next telechat is
tomorrow and then not for a month so it'd be on that
one earliest and krb-wg should be gone by then.

Cheers,
S.

Right. We should then mark those drafts as belonging to
kitten, so they're listed under that WG.

Sounds good to me.

Best regards,

Hello,
 for IETF86, http://tools.ietf.org/agenda/86/calendar: when selection =
"all session .ics file", it does not include the IAB iab-wcit session. =
I guess that this is because it is a special case. (or on purpose ;-))

Marc.

Hello,

I replied to a message from a user from nokia.com. This is what I
see from my side:

... while talking to mx1.nokia.com.:
 >>> DATA
<<< 551 5.0.0 DKIM failed
554 5.0.0 Service unavailable

BTW, the DKIM failure is due to an issue at my end.

Regards,
-sm

No, the script which generates the .ics file from the agenda had some
regular expressions which matched on the areas + IRTF; I've now added
IAB too.

Eventually I hope we can transition to the calendars generated on the
datatracker, as they are being generated by a less brittle mechanism.

The calendar files should include the IAB session after the next update.

Best regards,
