G'day,

xml2rfc produces a nicely-formatted table in the txt document. And
pProperly within margins.

For html, xml2rfc does /not/ produce the table within margins. Instead
it uses the full line width.

Table setup is:

          <texttable style="all">
           <ttcol>Criteria</ttcol>
           <ttcol width="20%" >Required</ttcol>

I'm also interested in being able to indent the table, the way a list is
indented, and possibly make the right-hand-side more indented too. Can't
find anything that accomplishes this.

Thoughts?

Instead it uses the full line width.

My advice would be: Do not use xml2rfc for generating HTML (except maybe =
for playing around).
There are so many bugs there I don=E2=80=99t know where to start.

Julian has a much nicer tool for generating HTML from XML, and we should =
all use that.

My primary mechanism is to do exactly that, using Julian's files, via
oXygen.

Alas, it produces the same result as xml2rfc.ietf.org...

Thanks for the flowers.

As I already said, my code didn't handle margins for tables correctly,
but this is hopefully fixed now.

While we're at it: rfc2629.xslt allows you to play with many v3 features
right now. See
<https://greenbytes.de/tech/webdav/rfc2629xslt/rfc2629xslt.html> for
more information.

Assuming you mean upload with https://datatracker.ietf.org/submit/:

As I understand it from another list, a ticket has already been submitted to
the secretariat for this bug (which started early last week). The work around
is: convert with https://xml2rfc.tools.ietf.org/, and only upload the .txt file.

Regards
   Brian Carpenter

The secretariat has forwarded the information to me, and I've made some
changes, but haven't been able to pinpoint where to apply the necessary
fix. Simply downgrading from the bad package version inside the datatrac=
ker
environment has not been sufficient to fix this.

A New Internet-Draft is available from the on-line Internet-Drafts
directories.
This draft is a work item of the Multiprotocol Label Switching of the IETF.

Title : Hitless path segment monitoring
         Authors : Alessandro D'Alessandro
                           Loa Andersson
                           Satoshi Ueno
                           Kaoru Arai
                           Yoshinori Koike
	Filename : draft-ietf-mpls-tp-temporal-hitless-psm-11.txt
	Pages : 16
	Date : 2016-07-29

Abstract:
One of the most important OAM capabilities for transport network
operation is fault localisation. An in-service, on-demand segment
monitoring function of a transport path is indispensable,
particularly when the service monitoring function is activated only
between end points. However, the current segment monitoring approach
defined for MPLS (including the transport profile (MPLS-TP)) in RFC
6371 [RFC6371] has drawbacks. This document provides an analysis of
the existing MPLS-TP OAM mechanisms for the path segment monitoring
and provides requirements to guide the development of new OAM tools
to support a Hitless Path Segment Monitoring (HPSM).

Hi,

I've looked at the submission history in the datatracker.

draft-ietf-mpls-tp-temporal-hitless-psm-11.txt was uploaded to the
datatracker on 2016-07-29 08:17 PDT, 4 months ago; but the posting
was not confirmed by any of the authors at that time.

A new submission access URL was requested and sent out to the authors
on 2016-11-30 00:23 PST, and posting was confirmed on 2016-11-30 00:24 PS=
T.

The error is not in the generation of the .txt file, it lies in the delay=

between the upload of -11 and the confirmation of the submission.
