In the final agenda, homenet and 6man have exchanged places.
6man still is a bit of a conflict for core, but much less so than =
homenet.
Thanks to our ADs for fixing this!

Hi,

Our draft "Transmission of IPv6 Packets over Bluetooth Low Energy" has bee=
n updated based on the comments provided by Carsten after WGLC was complete=
d. The changes are mostly editorial, but header compression section include=
s a few content related changes and there is also a new section explaining =
how neighbor discovery works with our solution. Version 6 is available at:
https://datatracker.ietf.org/doc/draft-ietf-6lowpan-btle/.

Hello,

I have a question about the Router Advertisement (RA) packets described =
in draft-ietf-6lowpan-nd-18.

As I figure out, the RA packets are built like this :=20
RA header + SLLAO + ABRO + ( PIO + 6CO ) * number_of_prefixes

With one prefix, the sum of the header / options length is equal to 104 =
bytes.
Here is the detail :

RA : 16 bytes
SLLAO	: 16 bytes
ABRO : 24 bytes
PIO : 32 bytes
6CO : 16 bytes
               --------------
                  104 bytes

However, in 802.15.4 the maximum length of the payload is 102 bytes (127 =
bytes - 25 bytes for the MAC header). Which means that every RA packet =
have to be fragmented before being sent to the MAC layer.

Is my reasoning correct ?

Regards,

Hi,

Please come and see demonstration of IPv6 over Bluetooth Low Energy impleme=
ntation related to draft-ietf-6lowpan-btle-06.

In the demo we have IPv6 enabled heart-rate belt and thermistor sensor. The=
se sensors act as CoAP servers and provide measurements for CoAP client run=
ning on a web server.

We did not (yet at least) got any specific room for this, so we plan to sho=
w the demo just prior to Core WG meeting at:

Tuesday March 27, 08:00 - 9:00 room 243.

As a fallback we will show this on corridor just next to 243 (the demo is q=
uite portableJ

Best regards,

                Teemu

6LoWPANners,

I have updated the 6LoWPAN roadmap document.
While the WG is still busy completing 6LoWPAN-ND and IPv6 over BT-LE, =
this document is intended to provide an overview over the set of =
"6LoWPAN" standards, how they fit together, and what rough edges must be =
filed off to fit them together. Please review again at:

	http://tools.ietf.org/html/draft-bormann-6lowpan-roadmap-01

This document is not intended for immediate publication, but as a =
running working document that keeps the threads together while the =
specifications are being deployed.
If you have any comments or updates, I'll update it as quickly as =
possible.

I have updated the GHC draft.
There is no technical change that would affect interoperability; I have =
mainly clarified what the (remaining 47 bits in the) 6CIO option also =
could be used for.

I think this specification is now ready for use and would like to hear =
from implementors.

Folks,

The GHC draft has been around for quite some time, and seems like a good =
general solution for increasing the efficiency of ICMPv6, routing =
(RPL...) and other headers. For example in the ROLL meeting today =
concern over the fragmentation of messages was expressed. Could we =
consider making this a working group document? Do people think this =
would be a solid starting point for solving this problem, and is there =
interest to work on, implement and use it? I personally do think it =
would be useful.

draft-ietf-6lowpan-btle has passed working-group last call in the =
6LoWPAN Working Group in January.
While preparing IESG submission, I noticed a few more things that needed =
to be taken care of.
This led to draft-ietf-6lowpan-btle-06.txt, which should have all these =
items fixed.
However, I believe the draft would benefit from a bit more eyeballs =
before I send it on to the IESG.

-- could you implement IPv6 over BT-LE from this draft (and its =
normative references),=20
or is anything that would be important for interoperability left =
unspecified?
-- general comments about draft quality and the technical decisions =
taken are also welcome.

I'm asking for feedback from the intarea working group as well as the =
6lowpan working group.
The draft is only 12 pages, so this can be done quickly.
Please reply until Friday, April 13, 2012.

The iPhone 4S has it. Zillions of IPv6 packets will flow over it.
So you really want to review this draft!
