Hello everyone,

Very keen on meeting a lot of you in July in Prague.

I am the convener of the Internet Security Special Interest Group of
Internet Australia (formerly Internet Society of Australia).

My special interest lies in the implementation of the IAB's recommendation
on Internet Confidentiality:
https://www.iab.org/2014/11/14/iab-statement-on-internet-confidentiality/

Would like to connect with people that are either involved in the technical
side of things or are advocates for the same. I am mainly looking for an
exchange of ideas and ways to progress this effort most effectively.

Any pointers in the right direction for getting the most out of IETF93 from
that perspective would be much appreciated.

Kind regards,

Stefan Pernar
Managing Director

Mark,

That's really wonderful, thanks for setting it up !

And in the spirit of announcing special events at IETF meetings, here
is something I am organizing for IETF 94 in Yokohama:

http://www.yokohama-organdemo.org/

We will open the doors at 11:30 for the lunchtime event and at 18:30
for the evening event [times may change slightly]. Space is NOT
limited, the hall seats 2,020 people. This event is open to all IETF
attendees and companions, and members of the public. Admission is
free. Thanks to all the sponsors who have made the event possible!

Hi,

I'm looking for a male roommate during the Prague meeting. I've already
booked a twin room at the B&B Hotel (only 2 minutes' walk from Hilton
Prague) from July 20 to 25. If you haven't find a suitable room or desire
to share the expenses with a roommate (it would be great if you have a
better place to live), please contact me by email.

P.S. I'm a master student from China and this is my first time to attend
the IETF : )

Best regards,
Linhui Sun

Nope. The IETF isn't political at all.

For ICANN 44 in Prague (2012) I got a laptop SIM at the Vodafone stand
right in the airport, I think it was around 15 EUR and came with
something like 500 MB. The people at the stand were very helpful. I have
not checked whether the deal still exists today. Hope this helps at
least as a pointer.

Looking forward to hearing any other ideas!

Kind regards,

First, check you home data plan; you may be surprised.
The European commission doesn't allow the "roaming" scam any more within
the common market, and your data plan may cover all of Europe (including
Norway, Switzerland and Iceland). Even some of the US providers now
have reasonable data packages for Europe.

For everybody else, the prepaidwithdata Wiki [1] rules (and it's good
background information in any case).

Grüße, Carsten
