Hi.

We've run across a desire to report two common errors from our acceptor
back to the client.
Half the usable error space is available for FCFS registrations, and
it's my plan to request two error codes from that space.
Before I do that I wanted to let folks know what I'm requesting and have
a chance to comment:

error_code GSSEAP_RADIUS_UNROUTABLE, "Proxy had no route to identity
provider realm"

error_code GSSEAP_RADIUS_ADMIN_PROHIBIT, "IDP Administratively Prohibits Request"

These correspond to RADIUS error cause codes 502 and 501 respectively.

As an aside, our code doesn't currently have a good way to deal with the
split between the standards action error codes and the FCFS codes, but
I'll add that after the registrations are approved by IANA.

Is it time to cut a new revision of this draft? We should progress
towards WGLC as quickly as possible!

Hi Leif,

you're right. We are working on it, and we will likely have an updated

We were talking about a call Monday the 30th but I don't think we ever
agreed on a time or a technology/bridge.

I am available starting at 1300 UTC Monday; I'd imagine Jim
significantly after that time.

Hi ABFABers,

For those interested, on Weds on this week we (Jisc) launched the first pro=
duction service based off of ABFAB technologies. Further details below.

Which, I think, is pretty cool!

Best,
Rhys.

Begin forwarded message:

Dear all,

Following a successful pilot of the Moonshot technology, I am pleased to an=
nounce that the Jisc Assent Service will launch on Wednesday 25 March.

The Jisc Assent Service, which is underpinned by the Moonshot technology, i=
s initially focused on serving research focused organisations, and their e-=
Infrastructure services, projects and users. As the technology becomes more=
widely deployed, we anticipate adoption in other research and education se=
ttings.

The service is available to all of the sectors served by Jisc in the UK, an=
d their collaborators. We are also welcoming international users, as an int=
erim measure, pending the availability of more appropriate local operators.=
We will work with local operators to facilitate a smooth transition of int=
ernational users as and when they are ready to serve them.

The pilot infrastructure will be decommissioned on Friday 20 March. From th=
at point users are encouraged to join the Jisc Assent Service.

As we transition, our website will be updated with Service information desc=
ribing how to join the service. However please do not hesitate to raise any=
 queries through assent@jisc.ac.uk<mailto:assent@jisc.ac.uk>.

We would like to thank everyone who has been involved in the Moonshot Pilot=
, and we look forward to working with and supporting you in the Jisc Assent=
 Service.

Kind regards,
Simon
