Subject: IPR check on draft-ietf-ancp-pon

Before forwarding the latest version of this draft back to the IESG, I need=
 to poll for knowledge of any additional IPR that applies to this drafts, t=
o ensure that IPR has been disclosed in compliance with IETF IPR rules (see=
 RFCs 3979, 4879, 3669 and 5378 for more details).

If you are listed as a document author or contributor please respond to thi=
s email whether or not you are aware of any relevant IPR that has not alrea=
dy been disclosed. This draft will not be forwarded to the IESG until a res=
ponse has been received from each author and contributor.

Best regards

Matthew

A New Internet-Draft is available from the on-line Internet-Drafts director=
ies.
 This draft is a work item of the Access Node Control Protocol Working Grou=
p of the IETF.

	Title : Multicast Control Extensions for ANCP
	Author(s)       : Francois Le Faucheur
                          Roberta Maglione
                          Tom Taylor
	Filename        : draft-ietf-ancp-mc-extensions-08.txt
	Pages           : 97
	Date            : 2012-10-22

Abstract:
   This document specifies the extensions to the Access Node Control
   Protocol required for support of the multicast use cases defined in
   the Access Node Control Protocol framework document and one
   additional use case described in this document. These use cases are
   organized into the following ANCP capabilities:

   o  NAS-initiated multicast replication;

   o  conditional access with white and black lists;

   o  conditional access with grey lists;

   o  bandwidth delegation;

   o  committed bandwidth reporting.

   These capabilities may be combined according to the rules given in
   this specification.

This was a keep-alive update. Only the version number changed.

Still hoping ...

I am advised that draft-ietf-ancp-mc-extensions-08.txt will not advance
unless three people besides me review it. Since it involves IANA updates
requiring Standards Action, that means that without the necessary
reviews there will be NO standardized IANA codepoints for multicast.

Folks,

Just to reiterate Tom's call for review. We have had two WG last calls on
this draft, but there has been little evidence that the draft has been
widely reviewed at the time of the WG last calls.

If you have read and are OK with the draft moving forward, please indicate
this to the list.

If you have comments, please indicate them to the list.

If you have an implementation / deployment using these extensions, please
review the draft, otherwise we will likely not be able to progress the
draft and thus not be able to ask IANA to allocate the requisite code
points, many of which require standards action.

Best regards

Matthew
