Ali - I can't answer the first 2 of your questions; however, the short answer to the third question is that the test suite you refer to has never been submitted to 802.1 for their consideration, and in any event, development of test suites was not part of the scope of the 802.1w project. Can a bridge that resides at the end of the ATM, de-capsulate the ATM packet and transmit the Ethernet packet over a LAN, calculate the LAN FCS and set it in the Ethernet packet (if required)?
