A New Internet-Draft is available from the on-line Internet-Drafts directories.
This draft is a work item of the IP Security Policy Working Group of the IETF.

Title : IPsec Policy Configuration MIB module
	Author(s)	: M. Baer et. al.
	Filename	: draft-ietf-ipsp-ipsec-conf-mib-06.txt
	Pages : 139
	Date : 2003-3-7

This document defines a Management Information Base (MIB) module for
managing the Internet Security Protocol (IPsec) and Internet Key
Exchange (IKE) protocols and associated policies. Some of the
policy-based packet filtering and the corresponding execution of
actions is of a more general nature than for IPsec configuration
only. This MIB module is designed with future extensibility in
mind. It is thus possible to externally add other packet filters
and actions to the policy-based packet filtering system defined in
this document.

The IPSP policy model draft has been updated to include feedback from WG
last call, the IESG, and the Policy WG co-chair. Specifically, the
following have been addressed:

1. Removed bad references
2. Split references into normative and non-normative
3. Name of the draft is now "IPsec Configuration Policy Information
    Model"
4. Dependencies upon DMTF material has been verified and set at v2.5
5. Fixed UML overview text describing associations
6. Removed class IPsecPolicyGroup and association SARuleInPolicyGroup
as PCIMe fixes the problem (assigning priorities to rules) that
IPsecPolicyGroup was created to address. We now use the PCIMe
solution.
7. Lifetimes are now 64 bits

The draft was not submitted in time for the cutoff, so we will resubmit
it when the I-D editor begins accepting drafts again (3/17). Until
then, the draft can be found at:
ftp://ftp.intel.com/pub/outgoing/draft-ietf-ipsp-config-policy-model-07.

A New Internet-Draft is available from the on-line Internet-Drafts directories.
This draft is a work item of the IP Security Policy Working Group of the IETF.

Title : IPsec Configuration Policy Information Model
	Author(s)	: J. Jason, L. Rafalow, E. Vyncke
	Filename	: draft-ietf-ipsp-config-policy-model-07.txt
	Pages : 84
	Date : 2003-3-20

This document presents an object-oriented information model of IPsec
(IP Security protocol) [COMP, ESP, AH] policy designed to:
o facilitate agreement about the content and semantics of IPsec
policy
o enable derivations of task-specific representations of IPsec
policy such as storage schema, distribution representations,
and policy specification languages used to configure IPsec-
enabled endpoints
The information model described in this document models the
configuration parameters defined by IPSec. The information model
also covers the parameters found by the Internet Key Exchange [DOI,
IKE] protocol. Other key exchange protocols could be easily added to
the information model by a simple extension. Other extensions can
further be added easily due to the object-oriented nature of the
model.
