This is a reminder, sent out once a month, about your ietf.org mailing
list memberships. It includes your subscription info and how to use
it to change it or unsubscribe from a list.

You can visit the URLs to change your membership status or
configuration, including unsubscribing, setting digest-style delivery
or disabling delivery altogether (e.g., for a vacation), and so on.

In addition to the URL interfaces, you can also use email to make such
changes. For more info, send a message to the '-request' address of
the list (for example, mailman-request@ietf.org) containing just the
word 'help' in the message body, and an email message will be sent to
you with instructions.

Hello all,

I'm just updating our CPL implementation, and I noticed a nit in
the cpl-09 document.

The text in cpl-09 and the XML schema in the draft use different
name for the recurse parameter. In the XML schema, the
parameter/attribute is called "recursive". In the text (and in the
DTD from past versions, not to speak about all our CPL scripts),
the parameter/attribute is referred as "recurse".

Please consider correcting the schema during the 48 hours.

Thanks for noticing this! Yes, we'll fix it. (We're in the auth48 stage
right now.)

We are aiming at completion of IPTEL work in the next 3 months and getting
this stuff off to the IESG. The work that has been sitting around in this WG
either has sufficient interest in it that we should be able to get it done
in a fairly short period or perhaps there is no interest in in which case it
should not move forward.

If you know of issues that need to be resolved before we can send any
documents you care about to IESG, let us know and lets get some agenda time
to discuss those issues at IETF 61.

If you care about a document getting completed, please volunteer to do a
review of it.

At the IETF 61 meeting, we will come up with a clear plan for completion of
the work items.

Thanks, Cullen

As a followup to this, tgrep has already had volunteer reviews and
completed WGLC. It is awaiting final review by your chairs, and we are
working do complete that by the end of the ietf meeting. Please flog us
if we don't. Assuming that doesnt turn up any major issues, we can send
it on and declare it done.

As for our other documents, I'll further note that lack of issues, lack
of reviewers and lack of pings from document authors is a sign of lack
of interest from the working group, and a sign that perhaps we should
not move forward with the document.

As we'll be meeting at IETF 61, don't just ask for agenda time for your
document if you wish to move it forward; please make sure we get some
discussion going on the list. The meetings are for discussion of issues.

Thanks,
Jonathan R.

A New Internet-Draft is available from the on-line Internet-Drafts directories.
This draft is a work item of the IP Telephony Working Group of the IETF.

Title : A Telephony Gateway REgistration Protocol (TGREP)
	Author(s)	: M. Bangalore, et al.
	Filename	: draft-ietf-iptel-tgrep-04.txt
	Pages : 28
	Date : 2004-10-21

This document describes the Telephony Gateway Registration Protocol
(TGREP) for registration of telephony prefixes supported by telephony
gateways and soft switches. The registration mechanism can also be
used to export resource information. The prefix and resource
information can then be passed on to a TRIP Location Server, which in
turn can propogate that routing information within the same, and
other internet telephony administrative domains (ITAD). TGREP shares
a lot of similarites with the TRIP Protocol. It has similar
procedures and Finite State Machine for session establishment. It
also shares the same format for messaages and a subset of attributes
with TRIP.

A URL for this Internet-Draft is:
http://www.ietf.org/internet-drafts/draft-ietf-iptel-tgrep-04.txt

To remove yourself from the I-D Announcement list, send a message to
i-d-announce-request@ietf.org with the word unsubscribe in the body of the message.
You can also visit https://www1.ietf.org/mailman/listinfo/I-D-announce
to change your subscription settings.

Internet-Drafts are also available by anonymous FTP. Login with the username
"anonymous" and a password of your e-mail address. After logging in,
type "cd internet-drafts" and then
	"get draft-ietf-iptel-tgrep-04.txt".

A list of Internet-Drafts directories can be found in
http://www.ietf.org/shadow.html
or ftp://ftp.ietf.org/ietf/1shadow-sites.txt

Internet-Drafts can also be obtained by e-mail.

Send a message to:
	mailserv@ietf.org.
In the body type:
	"FILE /internet-drafts/draft-ietf-iptel-tgrep-04.txt".

NOTE:	The mail server at ietf.org can return the document in
MIME-encoded form by using the "mpack" utility. To use this
feature, insert the command "ENCODING mime" before the "FILE"
command. To decode the response(s), you will need "munpack" or
a MIME-compliant mail reader. Different MIME-compliant mail readers
exhibit different behavior, especially when dealing with
"multipart" MIME messages (i.e. documents which have been split
up into multiple messages), so check your local documentation on
	how to manipulate these messages.

Below is the data which will enable a MIME compliant mail reader
implementation to automatically retrieve the ASCII version of the
Internet-Draft.

Jonathan:

Regarding the trunk-group draft, it has been ready for a
WGLC for long time. It is a short draft; however, much
headache and WG list discussions have already gone into
finalizing what is in it.

To that extent, I would like not to loose the collective
time and effort that has been put into it.

So, I will like to move it forward.

Thank you.

These are very closely related documents and as some of you recall this
topic has been discussed here before. The conclusion was, if I recall
correctly, that documenting the ENUM dip indicator. would be documented
separately as not to hold up the TEL URI draft or the existing NP draft.
The only question I have is where the enum dip indicator should be written,
with the user part of the TEL URI or the domain part.

Guidance here would be most appreciated.

Hi Richards, folks,
By "within the user part of the TEL URI or the domain part", I guess
you mean should it be a TEL URI parameter or a SIP user parameter, as
I didn't think that the TEL URI had a domain part, but a SIP-ified URI
generated from the TEL URI (a la section 19.1.6 of 3261) will have one.

I would VERY much like this to be available as a TEL URI parameter, as
it may be useful when a tel: URI is passed between systems.

I see the residual question as - can it *also* be a SIP user parameter?

Does this re-phrasing make sense?

all the best,
   Lawrence

A New Internet-Draft is available from the on-line Internet-Drafts directories.
This draft is a work item of the IP Telephony Working Group of the IETF.

Title : Representing trunk groups in tel/sip URIs
	Author(s)	: V. Gurbani, et al.
	Filename	: draft-ietf-iptel-trunk-group-02.txt
	Pages : 13
	Date : 2004-10-25

This document describes a standardized mechanism to convey trunk
group- related information in SIP and TEL URIs. An extension to the
'tel' URI is defined for this purpose.

A URL for this Internet-Draft is:
http://www.ietf.org/internet-drafts/draft-ietf-iptel-trunk-group-02.txt

To remove yourself from the I-D Announcement list, send a message to
i-d-announce-request@ietf.org with the word unsubscribe in the body of the message.
You can also visit https://www1.ietf.org/mailman/listinfo/I-D-announce
to change your subscription settings.

Internet-Drafts are also available by anonymous FTP. Login with the username
"anonymous" and a password of your e-mail address. After logging in,
type "cd internet-drafts" and then
	"get draft-ietf-iptel-trunk-group-02.txt".

A list of Internet-Drafts directories can be found in
http://www.ietf.org/shadow.html
or ftp://ftp.ietf.org/ietf/1shadow-sites.txt

Internet-Drafts can also be obtained by e-mail.

Send a message to:
	mailserv@ietf.org.
In the body type:
	"FILE /internet-drafts/draft-ietf-iptel-trunk-group-02.txt".

Hi,=20

I have a question. How do you indicate an originating trunk group when =
the
calling party number is not present? Specifically, the call is =
originated
from PSTN into IP, but the cgpn is missing from IAM. I don't believe =
tel-uri
syntax allows parameter without the actual number.

Regards,

Shan Lu
