Abstract:
This document provides YANG data models that describe performance
monitoring telemetry and scaling intent mechanism for TE-tunnels and
   Virtual Networks (VN).

The models presented in this draft allow customers to subscribe to
and monitor their key performance data of their interest on the
level of TE-tunnel or VN. The models also provide customers with the
ability to program autonomic scaling intent mechanism on the level
of TE-tunnel as well as VN.

A New Internet-Draft is available from the on-line Internet-Drafts directories.
This draft is a work item of the Captive Portal Interaction WG of the IETF.

Title : Captive-Portal Identification in DHCP / RA
        Authors : Warren Kumari
                          Erik Kline
	Filename : draft-ietf-capport-rfc7710bis-00.txt
	Pages : 10
	Date : 2019-07-02

Abstract:
In many environments offering short-term or temporary Internet access
(such as coffee shops), it is common to start new connections in a
captive portal mode. This highly restricts what the customer can do
   until the customer has authenticated.

This document describes a DHCP option (and a Router Advertisement
(RA) extension) to inform clients that they are behind some sort of
captive-portal device, and that they will need to authenticate to get
Internet access. It is not a full solution to address all of the
issues that clients may have with captive portals; it is designed to
be used in larger solutions. The method of authenticating to, and
interacting with the captive portal is out of scope of this document.

[ This document is being collaborated on in Github at:
   https://github.com/wkumari/draft-ekwk-capport-rfc7710bis. The most
recent version of the document, open issues, etc should all be
available here. The authors (gratefully) accept pull requests. Text
in square brackets will be removed before publication. ]

A New Internet-Draft is available from the on-line Internet-Drafts directories.
This draft is a work item of the Hypertext Transfer Protocol WG of the IETF.

Title : Resource Digests for HTTP
        Authors : Roberto Polli
                          Lucas Pardue
	Filename : draft-ietf-httpbis-digest-headers-00.txt
	Pages : 22
	Date : 2019-07-04

Abstract:
This document defines the Digest and Want-Digest header fields for
HTTP, thus allowing client and server to negotiate an integrity
checksum of the exchanged resource representation data.

This document obsoletes RFC 3230. It replaces the term "instance"
with "representation", which makes it consistent with the HTTP
Semantic and Context defined in RFC 7231.

A New Internet-Draft is available from the on-line Internet-Drafts directories.
This draft is a work item of the Multiprotocol Label Switching WG of the IETF.

Title : Special Purpose Label terminology
        Authors : Loa Andersson
                          Kireeti Kompella
                          Adrian Farrel
	Filename : draft-ietf-mpls-spl-terminology-00.txt
	Pages : 6
	Date : 2019-07-07

Abstract:
This document discusses and recommends a terminology that may be used
when MPLS Special Purpose Labels (SPL) are specified and documented.

Note: The rest of the text in this section is not really part of the
abstract even though the text is placed here. It is working notes.

Note: At least at the moment it is not the intention to take this
document to an RFC, but it might be polled to become a wg document to
see if the MPLS working group agree on the proposed terminology.

Note: The changes we propose are minor, but we might have to progress
the document to RFC since there is a proposed change to the "Special-
Purpose Multiprotocol Label Switching (MPLS) Label Values" registry.

A New Internet-Draft is available from the on-line Internet-Drafts directories.
This draft is a work item of the Secure Telephone Identity Revisited WG of the IETF.

        Author : Jon Peterson
	Filename : draft-ietf-stir-cert-delegation-00.txt

	Date : 2019-07-08

Abstract:
The Secure Telephone Identity Revisited (STIR) certificate profile
provides a way to attest authority over telephone numbers and related
identifiers for the purpose of preventing telephone number spoofing.
This specification details how that authority can be delegated from a
parent certificate to a subordinate certificate. This supports a
number of use cases, including those where service providers grant
credentials to enterprises or other customers capable of signing
   calls with STIR.

This draft is a work item of the Limited Additional Mechanisms for PKIX and SMIME WG of the IETF.

Title : Problem Statement and Requirements for Header Protection
        Authors : Alexey Melnikov
                          Bernie Hoeneisen
	Filename : draft-ietf-lamps-header-protection-requirements-00.txt
	Pages : 20
	Date : 2019-07-08

Abstract:
Privacy and security issues with email header protection in S/MIME
have been identified for some time. However, the desire to fix these
issue has been expressed in the IETF LAMPS Working Group only
recently. The existing S/MIME specification is likely to be updated
   regarding header protection.

Several LAMPS WG participants expressed the opinion that whatever
mechanism will be chosen, it should not be limited to S/MIME, but
   also applicable to PGP/MIME.

This document describes the problem statement, generic use cases, and
requirements. Additionally it drafts possible solutions to address
the challenge. Finally some best practices are collected.

A New Internet-Draft is available from the on-line Internet-Drafts directories.
This draft is a work item of the Operations and Management Area Working Group WG of the IETF.

        Title : Secure Device Install
        Authors : Warren Kumari
                          Colin Doyle
	Filename : draft-ietf-opsawg-sdi-00.txt
	Pages : 16
	Date : 2019-07-22

Abstract:
Deploying a new network device often requires that an employee
physically travel to a datacenter to perform the initial install and
configuration, even in shared datacenters with "smart-hands" type
support. In many cases, this could be avoided if there were a
standard, secure way to initially provision the devices.

This document extends existing auto-install / Zero-Touch Provisioning
mechanisms to make the process more secure.

wkumari-opsawg-sdi. The most recent version of the document, open
issues, etc should all be available here. The authors (gratefully)
   accept pull requests. ]

[ Ed note: This document introduces concepts and serves as the basic
for discussion - because of this, it is conversational, and would
need to be firmed up before being published ]

This draft is a work item of the Link State Routing WG of the IETF.

Title : Invalid TLV Handling in IS-IS
        Authors : Les Ginsberg
                          Paul Wells

	Pages : 8
	Date : 2019-07-22

Abstract:
Key to the extensibility of the Intermediate System to Intermediate
System (IS-IS) protocol has been the handling of unsupported and/or
invalid Type/Length/Value (TLV) tuples. Although there are explicit
statements in existing specifications, deployment experience has
shown that there are inconsistencies in the behavior when a TLV which
is disallowed in a particular Protocol Data Unit (PDU) is received.

This document discusses such cases and makes the correct behavior
explicit in order to insure that interoperability is maximized.

This document when approved updates RFC3563, RFC5305, RFC6232, and
   RFC6233.

Abstract:
This document presents a timing model for Deterministic Networking
(DetNet), so that existing and future standards can achieve the
DetNet quality of service features of bounded latency and zero
congestion loss. It defines requirements for resource reservation
protocols or servers. It calls out queuing mechanisms, defined in
other documents, that can provide the DetNet quality of service.

A New Internet-Draft is available from the on-line Internet-Drafts directories.
This draft is a work item of the Global Routing Operations WG of the IETF.

Title : BMP Peer Up Message Namespace
        Author : John Scudder
	Filename : draft-ietf-grow-bmp-peer-up-00.txt
	Pages : 5
	Date : 2019-07-24

Abstract:
RFC 7854, BMP, uses different message types for different purposes.
Most of these are Type, Length, Value (TLV) structured. One message
type, the Peer Up message, lacks a set of TLVs defined for its use,
instead sharing a namespace with the Initiation message. Subsequent
experience has shown that this namespace sharing was a mistake, as it
hampers the extension of the protocol.

This document updates RFC 7854 by creating an independent namespace
for the Peer Up message. The changes in this document are formal
only, compliant implementations of RFC 7854 also comply with this
   specification.

A New Internet-Draft is available from the on-line Internet-Drafts directories.
This draft is a work item of the EAP Method Update WG of the IETF.

Title : Perfect-Forward Secrecy for the Extensible Authentication Protocol Method for Authentication and Key Agreement (EAP-AKA' PFS)
        Authors : Jari Arkko
                          Karl Norrman
                          Vesa Torvinen
	Filename : draft-ietf-emu-aka-pfs-00.txt
	Pages : 25
	Date : 2019-07-25

Abstract:
Many different attacks have been reported as part of revelations
associated with pervasive surveillance. Some of the reported attacks
involved compromising smart cards, such as attacking SIM card
manufacturers and operators in an effort to compromise shared secrets
stored on these cards. Since the publication of those reports,
manufacturing and provisioning processes have gained much scrutiny
and have improved. However, the danger of resourceful attackers for
these systems is still a concern.

This specification is an optional extension to the EAP-AKA'
authentication method which was defined in RFC 5448 (to be superseded
by draft-ietf-emu-rfc5448bis). The extension, when negotiated,
provides Perfect Forward Secrecy for the session key generated as a
part of the authentication run in EAP-AKA'. This prevents an
attacker who has gained access to the long-term pre-shared secret in
a SIM card from being able to decrypt all past communications. In
addition, if the attacker stays merely a passive eavesdropper, the
extension prevents attacks against future sessions. This forces
attackers to use active attacks instead.

Abstract:
The Network File System v4 (NFSv4) allows a client to both open a
file and be granted a delegation of that file. This provides the
client the right to cache metadata on the file locally. This
document presents several refinements to both the opening and
delegating of the file to the client.
