The ability to compute paths for constrained point-to-multipoint
(P2MP) Traffic Engineering Label Switched Paths (TE LSPs) across
multiple domains has been identified as a key requirement for the
deployment of P2MP services in MPLS and GMPLS networks. The Path
Computation Element (PCE) has been recognized as an appropriate
technology for the determination of inter-domain paths of P2MP TE
   LSPs.

This document describes the procedures and extensions to the PCE
communication Protocol (PCEP) to handle requests and responses for
the computation of inter-domain paths for P2MP TE LSPs.

FYI

-------- Message original --------
From: The IESG <iesg-secretary@ietf.org>

The IESG has received a request from an individual submitter to consider
the following document:
- 'Promoting Compliance with Intellectual Property Rights (IPR)
    Disclosure Rules'
<draft-polk-ipr-disclosure-03.txt> as Informational RFC

The IESG plans to make a decision in the next few weeks, and solicits
final comments on this action. Please send substantive comments to the
ietf@ietf.org mailing lists by 2012-05-28. Exceptionally, comments may be
sent to iesg@ietf.org instead. In either case, please retain the
beginning of the Subject line to allow automated sorting.

Abstract

The disclosure process for intellectual property rights (IPR) in
documents produced within the IETF stream is essential to the
accurate development of community consensus. However, this process
is not always followed by participants during IETF standardization.
Regardless of the cause or motivation, noncompliance with IPR
disclosure rules can derail or delay completion of standards
documents. This document describes strategies for promoting
compliance with the IPR disclosure rules. The strategies are
primarily intended for area directors, working group chairs, and
    working group secretaries.

The file can be obtained via
http://datatracker.ietf.org/doc/draft-polk-ipr-disclosure/

IESG discussion can be tracked via
http://datatracker.ietf.org/doc/draft-polk-ipr-disclosure/ballot/

No IPR declarations have been submitted directly on this I-D.

Dear PCEers

In RFC5440 the IRO is defined as reusing the RSVP ERO subobject =
definition, the PCEP ERO does the same but additionally ties both=20
Spaces ("PCEP ERO sub-object types correspond to RSVP-TE ERO sub-object =
types.")=20

I suppose that the same applies to the PCEP IRO object, so that IRO =
subobjects definition must be done first in CCAMP, yet a clarification =
from the WG would be appreciated.=20

As the content of the object is relevant for the PCE, new ERO subobject =
would need an additional definition in PCEP tin order to specify its =
processing, so the following text would be true:

" Any RSVP-TE ERO sub-object already defined or
that could be defined in the future for use in the RSVP-TE ERO should =
be additionally defined in PCEP IRO=20

PCEP IRO sub-object types correspond to RSVP-TE ERO sub-object types."

Hi all.

Even though some issues need to be to addressed in the next steps, it
looks like there is good support to adopt
draft-dhody-pce-pcep-domain-sequence as a PCE WG document.

One item is still on hold. Most authors agreed to move forwards with an
experimental document. Has the WG any concern with this?

Thanks,

JP & Julien

FYI

-------- Message original --------
From: The IESG <iesg-secretary@ietf.org>

The IESG has received a request from an individual submitter to consider
the following document:
- 'Sanctions Available for Application to Violators of IETF IPR Policy'
   <draft-farrresnickel-ipr-sanctions-05.txt> as Informational RFC

The IESG plans to make a decision in the next few weeks, and solicits
final comments on this action. Please send substantive comments to the
ietf@ietf.org mailing lists by 2012-06-04. Exceptionally, comments may be
sent to iesg@ietf.org instead. In either case, please retain the
beginning of the Subject line to allow automated sorting.

Abstract

The IETF has developed and documented policies that govern the
behavior of all IETF participants with respect to Intellectual
Property Rights (IPR) about which they might reasonably be aware.

The IETF takes conformance to these IPR policies very seriously.
However, there has been some ambiguity as to what the appropriate
sanctions are for the violation of these policies, and how and by
whom those sanctions are to be applied.

This document discusses these issues and provides a suite of
potential actions that may be taken within the IETF community.

The file can be obtained via
http://datatracker.ietf.org/doc/draft-farrresnickel-ipr-sanctions/

IESG discussion can be tracked via
http://datatracker.ietf.org/doc/draft-farrresnickel-ipr-sanctions/ballot/

No IPR declarations have been submitted directly on this I-D.

A New Internet-Draft is available from the on-line Internet-Drafts director=
ies. This draft is a work item of the Path Computation Element Working Grou=
p of the IETF.

Title : The Application of the Path Computation Element Architec=
ture to the Determination of a Sequence of Domains in MPLS and GMPLS
	Author(s) : Daniel King
                          Adrian Farrel
	Filename : draft-ietf-pce-hierarchy-fwk-02.txt
	Pages : 31
	Date : 2012-05-10

Computing optimum routes for Label Switched Paths (LSPs) across
multiple domains in MPLS Traffic Engineering (MPLS-TE) and GMPLS
networks presents a problem because no single point of path
computation is aware of all of the links and resources in each
domain. A solution may be achieved using the Path Computation
   Element (PCE) architecture.

Where the sequence of domains is known a priori, various techniques
can be employed to derive an optimum path. If the domains are
simply-connected, or if the preferred points of interconnection are
also known, the Per-Domain Path Computation technique can be used.
Where there are multiple connections between domains and there is
no preference for the choice of points of interconnection, the
Backward Recursive Path Computation Procedure (BRPC) can be used to
   derive an optimal path.

This document examines techniques to establish the optimum path when
the sequence of domains is not known in advance. The document
shows how the PCE architecture can be extended to allow the optimum
sequence of domains to be selected, and the optimum end-to-end path
to be derived through the use of a hierarchical relationship between
   domains.

Dear Co-Chairs,

The authors of H-PCE recently submitted a new version of the document. This
version contains very minor NIT fixes. As per the discussion at IETF 83
(Paris) we feel the document is ready for WG Last Call, at your convenience.

Br, Dan.

Hi WG.

I have not seen any comment on the proposal below, nor on the existing
IPR. As a result, authors, could you please submit
draft-ietf-pce-pcep-domain-sequence-00 as an experimental I-D?

Thanks,

Julien

A New Internet-Draft is available from the on-line Internet-Drafts director=
ies. This draft is a work item of the Path Computation Element Working Grou=
p of the IETF.

Title : Standard Representation Of Domain Sequence
	Author(s) : Dhruv Dhody
                          Udayasree Palle
                          Ramon Casellas
	Filename : draft-ietf-pce-pcep-domain-sequence-00.txt
	Pages : 22
	Date : 2012-05-21

The ability to compute shortest constrained Traffic Engineering Label
Switched Paths (TE LSPs) in Multiprotocol Label Switching (MPLS) and
Generalized MPLS (GMPLS) networks across multiple domains has been
identified as a key requirement for P2P and P2MP scenarios. In this
context, a domain is a collection of network elements within a common
sphere of address management or path computational responsibility
such as an IGP area or an Autonomous Systems. This document
specifies a standard representation and encoding of a domain
sequence, which is defined as an ordered sequence of domains
traversed to reach the destination domain. This document also
defines new sub-objects to be used to encode domain identifiers.
